Continuing on from my first article ‘Discover How To Create Leads For Your Internet Marketing Promotion Business’ I am going to talk with you about the importance of qualifying those leads that you get to your blog. The quality of leads has a direct correlation to sales efficiency and success. It’s important to expend marketing efforts on getting only the traffic to your blog. So how do we do that David? Well personally I always use this three step formula.
The reason been is they are simply not bringing targeted qualified traffic to their sites. So what you need to do is winnow down generic traffic to the traffic that is most likely to buy. Here is how to pre-qualify traffic and turn that traffic into actual leads:
STEP 1: Define your target market. When I teach small business classes on internet marketing strategies, I often ask participants the question, who are your customers? Who will buy your product?” I am often surprised that otherwise savvy small business people either have no idea who will buy from them, or they assume that ‘everyone’ will. The most successful small businesses understand that only a limited number of people will buy their product or service. The task then becomes determining, as closely as possible, exactly who those people are, and ‘targeting’ the business’s marketing efforts and dollars toward them.
STEP 2: Craft a targeted message. You have probably heard that you can make hundreds, thousands or even millions of dollars by building a targeted email list and then selling products and services to the people on the list. There is some truth to this statement. A targeted email list can certainly come in handy when trying to promote an existing business, supplement current sales or jump start a new enterprise.
STEP 3: capture your leads information. With this information, your autoresponder (if you don’t already have an autoresponder, be sure to ask me about them) can maintain a list so that you can market similar products to them on a regular basis. A list is a great way to keep your business going and more importantly, growing.
3: Collect the details of those who visit your blog. People will be a lot more willing to leave their details if you offer them something of value in exchange for their details for example a special report or DVD about how to literally save thousands when buying their next home. The other key is to keep it short. If you make the form too long, people will simply not fill it out, or will skip over large sections of it.
I will talk more about the importance of follow up in my next article. Or if you want to read it now, simply visit http://bit.ly/d4KRnY
